Care Pro (caregivers without a CNA)

Join our team as a Care Pro to provide compassionate support and daily assistance to our clients, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Elderly Care: Understand the needs and characteristics of elderly, handicapped, or convalescing individuals.
• Household Tasks: Responsible for light cleaning, laundry, and other homemaking tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Meal Preparation: Assist with grocery list preparation, grocery shopping, and cooking nutritious meals.
• Transportation and Errands: Provide transportation to appointments and outings, and run errands with or on behalf of the client.
• Medication Reminders: Provide medication reminders.
• Social Engagement: Engage in social activities, games, encourage exercise, and focus on the growth of the holistic wellbeing of the client.
• Documentation and Reporting: Document services performed in a care log, and monitor and report any health changes to staff RN.
• Adhere to Care Plan: Strictly adhere to the scope of the care plan and perform activities listed within it.
• Safety and Emergency: Be capable of lifting 25 lbs, provide basic first aid and CPR, and follow emergency procedures.
• Maintain Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.

Requirements:

• Training & Assessment: Must complete training covering essential areas such as elderly care, meal preparation, transportation, housekeeping, home safety, medical emergencies, and infection control, and pass an assessment to demonstrate understanding and practical competency in these areas.
• Background Check: Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, drug test, and MVR (driving record) report.
• Literacy and Reporting: Be able to read, write, follow verbal and written instructions, and complete written reports and documents.
• CPR Certification: Must have current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification from a recognized program like the American Heart Association.
